Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Salesforce is seeking a Director of Product Strategy to join the Chief Architect Office within the Office of the CEO. Reporting to the SVP of Product Strategy, you will sit at the intersection of corporate strategy and technology—evaluating technologies, modeling monetization across market scenarios, and translating choices into actionable investment recommendations. This is not a traditional product management or competitive intelligence role. We are building a proactive, original-thinking team to stress-test portfolio assumptions and shape Salesforce’s most consequential technology investments across commercial models, agentic AI, and software architectures.
You are as comfortable building a scenario model around AI infrastructure monetization as you are evaluating the architectural trade-offs between agentic deployment patterns. You understand that the best technology strategy is one where the technical choices and the commercial model are designed together.
What You'll Do
- Portfolio & Investment Strategy: Lead strategic planning for Salesforce's AI and platform portfolio—defining priorities, sequencing bets, and evaluating build-buy-partner/M&A options.
- Monetization & Commercial Strategy: Design and stress-test monetization models (pricing architectures, usage-based, API-first) for emerging AI capabilities, LLMs, and platform ecosystems in partnership with Product, Finance, and GTM teams.
- Scenario Planning & Domain Theses: Build multi-variable models and investment theses (agentic AI, data platforms, trust infrastructure) to pressure-test decisions against competitive, regulatory, and macroeconomic shifts.
- Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills: ability to build and pressure-test business cases, scenario models, market sizing frameworks, and investment return analyses, and to use quantitative evidence to sharpen and defend strategic recommendations.
- Regional Market Dynamics: Analyze European enterprise adoption and regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, RGPD, Digital Markets Act) to inform regional GTM strategy and global portfolio decisions.
- Executive Deliverables: Produce board-grade strategic analyses and executive briefings that combine quantitative modeling, technical due diligence, and competitive positioning.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience: 4+ years in corporate strategy, management consulting, IB/PE, or tech corporate development, with a track record of driving major decisions and leading matrixed teams.
- Technical Depth: Working knowledge of AI/ML architectures (LLMs, agentic systems, data platforms) to evaluate trade-offs, challenge engineering assumptions, and conduct due diligence.
- Commercial & Financial Acumen: Deep command of tech monetization models (SaaS, consumption, platform, open source) paired with strong financial modeling (M&A, scenario modeling, ROI).
- Problem-Solving & Influence: First-principles thinker who can structure ambiguous problems and communicate complex analyses to C-suite and board stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Domain experience in enterprise tech, cloud infrastructure, vector databases, or orchestration frameworks.
- Familiarity with supply chain, vertical AI automation, and process agentification at scale.
- Experience balancing offensive (category creation) and defensive (moat-building) strategic plays.
- Deep knowledge of the French/European enterprise tech landscape and regulatory environment.
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent experience).
