About the Team
Salesforce for Government delivers business value applications to Central, Devolved, and Local Government departments; enabling departments to build stronger connections between citizens, employees, governments and services, and to become more responsive, effective, and above all, efficient. The Salesforce for Government proposition is based on transforming citizen user experience whilst at the same time driving departmental and technology efficiencies through a ‘joined up’ platform driven approach.
About the Role
We are hiring for a Named Account Executive sales professional to nurture existing customers and drive new business acquisition / expansion in a UK South based region. Based from the Salesforce London office, your account focus will include councils, public safety, environmental and health services. This is an outstanding career opportunity for an experienced quota-carrying Sales Exec who can work both as part of a broader Account Team and as an Individual Contributor, driving self-generated sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and implementing effective territory and account plans for your region and customer base
- Exceeding monthly/quarterly sales targets through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales
- Managing the entire sales process to ensure delivery against key performance metrics, with a strong emphasis on new business sales, while expanding existing accounts
- Creating and maintain a sales pipeline to ensure over-achievement
- Positioning Salesforce’s unique capabilities to address the specific needs of public sector entities and help organisations change and innovate faster
- Co-selling effectively with other Salesforce Sales team and cross-functional teams to maximise impact
- Nurturing and expanding relationships with public sector accounts by building trust and deeply understanding their unique challenges
- Effectively communicating with leadership, customers, partners, and extended teams to ensure alignment with public sector needs
- Participating in team-building and company-growth activities, such as strategic planning, sales training, customer marketing efforts, and volunteering
- Providing accurate monthly forecasting and revenue delivery
What We’re Looking For
- Proven success in SaaS sales - minimum 5 years’
- Demonstrated ability in both new business development and account management within a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Relevant expertise of selling into the Public Sector. Local Government sales experience would be ideal!
- Expertise in managing complex sales cycles in a matrix environment, and crafting compelling value propositions
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, particularly with C-suite executives
- Passion for innovation, teamwork, driving transformational change and achieving goals
- Able to easily commute into our London office on a weekly basis
