Overview

A London Insurer is looking for a DBA to support and maintain the organization’s data infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, integrity, and security of all database and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain organisational databases to ensure data integrity, availability, and optimal performance.
• Monitor and maintain database access, permissions, and security controls.
• Ensure database backups are functioning correctly and perform ad‐hoc backups and restores as required.
• Support database releases, including running deployment scripts and contributing to continuous improvement of deployment processes.

Required Competencies

• Strong knowledge of database systems, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, and familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud‑based data solutions, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience maintaining online reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Proficiency in PowerShell for task automation and system management.
• Excellent Transact‑SQL (T‑SQL) skills.
