Trainee Branch Manager Hillington, Glasgow Up to £32,000 + bonus (OTE circa £5,000£6,000) Genuine, supported pathway into branch management Join a business that's growing fast and build a long-term career Down-to-earth, professional culture with the systems and support behind you THE CLIENT Our client is an expanding, branch-based trade distribution business operating across the west of Scotland, with further branches opening over the next 12 months as part of a deliberate growth plan. It's a business that's scaling quickly but still runs with a hands-on, down-to-earth culture decisions get made fast, and there's genuine investment in the people who help it grow, not just process for the sake of it. As new branches open, so do genuine opportunities to grow with the business rather than compete for a handful of promotions. THE ROLE This is a Trainee Branch Manager role based at the Hillington branch, built around a structured, supported development plan rather than a straight trade counter job. You'll work alongside the current branch manager, learning the operational and commercial side of running a branch stock, team, customer service, day-to-day performance with a clear runway: as the business opens further branches, the current manager will move on to lead one of them, and you'll be developed to take on responsibility for Hillington. You'll also be trained on the company's in-house design software, used to help customers visualise bespoke orders before they buy full training given, no prior experience needed. It's a role for someone who wants more than a job on a counter: a genuine route into management, at a pace that matches how quickly you pick it up. ABOUT YOU You're likely working in a customer-facing sales or trade counter role already perhaps in a builders' merchant, trade counter, or similar branch-based environment and you're good at it, but you want more than repeat and refer. You're personable, organised, and comfortable talking to a wide range of customers, and you're motivated by the idea of building something rather than just maintaining it. You don't need direct product experience in this specific trade; what matters more is appetite, attitude, and the ability to learn quickly on the job. THE REWARDS Up to £32,000 basic salary, plus a bonus structure worth circa £5,000£6,000 on top. You'll also share in a team-based monthly bonus tied to branch performance. Beyond the immediate package, this role carries a genuine, time-bound progression plan into branch management not a vague "opportunities to grow" line, but a concrete route mapped out over the next 1218 months. This role may also suit candidates with backgrounds as an Assistant Branch Manager, Trade Counter Supervisor, or similar branch-based supervisory roles. TPBN1_UKTJ
