THE CLIENT A well-established business support services provider is entering its next phase of growth, backed by continued investment across the UK. With a client base that includes larger organisations and public sector bodies, much of this business is won and retained through formal, long-term contracts rather than quick transactional wins
a reflection of the consistency and trust the business has built over time. As that growth continues, the business is bringing in a Head of Sales to build a stronger, more structured commercial operation around an already established platform. THE ROLE As Head of Sales, you'll take charge of an existing team handling client accounts and enquiries, with a clear mandate to grow that team as the role develops. Reporting directly to the MD, you'll have genuine visibility and influence at the top of the business, rather than simply executing someone else's plan. You'll be responsible for developing the team, identifying new revenue opportunities, strengthening key client relationships, and creating the structure needed to support continued growth. The sales cycle here is measured and relationship-led rather than fast and transactional, reflecting a client base that values long-term partnership over quick wins. ABOUT YOU You'll be an experienced sales leader with a track record of growing revenue through a team, developing people and building strong client relationships over a longer sales cycle. You'll have experience selling services rather than products, ideally into larger or public sector organisations where trust is built over time rather than through a single transaction. Experience of business won through formal tender or contract processes would be a strong advantage. Most importantly, you'll be measured, consultative and commercially entrepreneurial
comfortable operating without a large corporate infrastructure behind you, and able to create the strategy and processes needed to scale.
