Experienced in Specification Sales? Ready for Full Scotland Ownership Backed by Teams Who Actually Convert?

We are recruiting a dedicated Specification Sales Manager to influence architects and consultants at design stage across Scotland. This is a pure specification role supported by highly proactive contractor and merchant sales teams who consistently convert pipeline into delivered sales.

The Opportunity

You will take full regional responsibility, driving product specification at concept and technical stage. The Scotland territory has been under-served locally, creating genuine scope for an experienced specification professional to establish presence quickly and deliver measurable growth. You will work in tandem with long-standing contractor and merchant sales teams who are commercially driven and execution-focused, ensuring the work you create at design stage is actively followed through on site.

Location

This is a Scotland-wide territory and can be based anywhere within the region, including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth, Stirling and surrounding Central Belt areas. Regular travel across Scotland is expected as part of a structured regional specification brief.

The Role

  • Deliver CPDs to architectural and consultant practices
  • Influence specification at concept and technical design stage
  • Build and manage a structured, measurable project pipeline
  • Track projects from design through to tender stage
  • Work in close alignment with contractor and merchant sales colleagues

This is not merchant account management. This is not contractor firefighting. This is dedicated design-stage influence with clear regional accountability.

The Person

You must already operate within specification sales in construction, building materials or technical building products. You will understand:

  • Architect and consultant engagement
  • Long-cycle project tracking
  • Structured territory management
  • Commercial accountability

You will be confident presenting to professional audiences, commercially sharp and comfortable operating independently across a full regional territory.

The Package

£50,000 - £55,000 basic salary, £15,000 OTE paid monthly, Company car or allowance, Full Scotland responsibility.
