This is a step-up role for a bathroom salesperson who wants more than pure retail. If you’re currently selling bathrooms in a showroom and want exposure to contractors, housebuilders and professional clients as well as retail customers, this role gives you that opportunity. Design knowledge matters, but this is a sales role first and foremost. You will be trusted to own sales performance, move quickly and build repeat business.
The showroom sits within a trade-led business that is actively growing its bathroom offering across retail, installer and project work. The difference here is pace and ambition. Customers are quoted quickly, followed up properly and guided to decisions without being over-designed or over-managed. You will be the main point of contact for bathroom sales, dealing with retail customers, independent installers, contractors, housebuilders and professional clients. This is a consultative sell, but it is still a sell.
Your Day to Day: You’ll spend your time qualifying enquiries, advising customers, progressing decisions and closing sales. You’ll be comfortable discussing layouts, products and practical constraints, but you won’t be buried in endless design revisions. Momentum, clarity and commercial judgement matter more than perfect visuals. You’ll manage multiple live enquiries at once, turn quotes around quickly and follow up with intent. Same-day quotations are common and expected. As your confidence grows, so will your exposure to contractor-led and project-based work, giving you experience beyond traditional retail showroom sales.
Why This Is a Step Up: This role is backed by a financially strong private group with serious growth plans, including new branches and flagship showrooms. For the right person, this offers exposure to trade and housebuilder customers, faster and more commercial sales cycles, greater ownership of performance, and clear progression as the business scales. It’s an ideal move for someone who wants to grow out of pure retail and into a more professional, commercially focused environment.
Working Pattern: The showroom trades seven days a week. You’ll work five days over seven, with one day off at the weekend and one midweek. Weekend days are the busiest and most commercially rewarding.
Earnings: Basic salary up to £35,000 depending on experience. Uncapped commission paid quarterly. Realistic OTE of £15,000–£20,000 on top of basic. Long-term career development within a growing group.
Who This Role Is For: You are a salesperson first. You’re currently selling bathrooms or home-improvement projects in a retail showroom and want to broaden your exposure, increase your earnings and develop your career. You enjoy dealing with customers, building relationships and closing business. You use design knowledge to support sales, not as the main event. If you’re looking for a role that stretches you, gives you more credibility and opens doors beyond retail, this is worth a conversation.
