THE CLIENT Our client is part of a well-established, decentralised distribution group with operations across the UK, each branch run almost like its own standalone business rather than one small part of a faceless head office structure. This particular branch is a busy site with a close-knit team of around a dozen people, covering everything from sales to warehouse to admin, and it's grown to the point it now needs extra support in the office. THE ROLE
This is a broader role than a typical finance or accounts-only position. You'll be a main point of contact for purchase orders, accounts queries and credit control, working closely with buyers, customers and colleagues across the branch rather than sitting in a back-office silo. Day to day, that means processing and managing invoices, chasing payments, resolving payment and account queries, and picking up general purchase-ledger administration, with visibility across the whole business rather than just one function. ABOUT YOU
You'll likely have a background in accounts payable, purchase ledger, credit control, or general office administration, and be someone just as comfortable talking to a customer on the phone as reconciling an account. If you're currently in a larger, more siloed finance function and fancy a role with more day-to-day variety and closer working relationships, this is worth a look. THE REWARDS
Basic salary up to £32,000, plus an annual profit share worth around £3,000 to £4,000, paid as a lump sum once a year on top of salary. Monday to Friday only, no weekend work.
