What you’ll do

• Deliver top‑notch customer service by resolving technical issues and keeping customers in the loop.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity problems, and collaborate with field engineers to fix hardware like routers, switches, and Wi‑Fi APs.
• Use tools such as Solarwinds and Extreme XIQ to track down problems.
• Manage incidents and request tickets on ServiceNow with precision, escalating to senior engineers when needed.
• Assist with hardware and vendor management, ensuring swift resolution of faults.

What you’ll need to apply

• At least 1 year’s support experience in a busy, customer‑focused service desk or NOC environment.
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies.
• A networking qualification like CCNA (or working towards it) is a big plus.
• Strong communication – clear, calm and customer‑focused.
• Flexibility to work in our Manchester office on shift patterns between 7am and 7pm, mainly Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts on a rota basis.
• Ability to obtain BPSS, SC, and NPPV3 clearance for this role.

The nitty gritty

• Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday (shifts of 7am-3.30pm, 9am-5.30pm, 10.30am-7pm).
• A requirement to work weekends from home on a rota basis but days given off in the week and overtime paid for additional hours.
• Office‑based role.
