About this Role
This role is ideal for someonelooking to begin a career in education and SEND support. Working closely withthe SENCo and wider SEND team, the successful candidate will providehigh-quality classroom and targeted support for students with Special EducationalNeeds and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Education, Health and CarePlans (EHCPs).
The role will involve supportingstudents within the classroom and, where required, within provision spaceswithin the wider school. You will play a key role in helping students accesslearning, develop independence, and overcome barriers. Through acting as apositive role model, the successful candidate will promote inclusion,confidence and a strong sense of belonging for all students.
This role includes enrolment on arecognised Teaching Assistant apprenticeship programme with Let Me Play Education. You will receivestructured training, gain valuable practical experience, and develop the skillsand knowledge required to succeed in a career within education. During theapprenticeship, you will also have the opportunity to develop an understandingof how student progress and provision are monitored across the department,alongside dedicated time to complete assigned apprenticeship tasks andassignments.
The successful candidate will becompassionate, reliable and eager to learn. They will demonstrate strongcommunication skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in supportingyoung people with additional needs. Flexibility, initiative, and the ability towork effectively as part of a team is essential.
