Job Summary
Guildford Hospital – Radiology – Bank Contract – Ad Hoc. We offer a competitive hourly rate depending on experience and state‑of‑the‑art equipment. Deliver a high‑quality diagnostic imaging service, exercising advanced technical knowledge and a caring, empathetic approach to patients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a high‑quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload.
- Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice.
- Work with leading practitioners and cutting‑edge practices, equipment and facilities.
- Supervise and develop junior colleagues.
- Operate within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the HCPC code of conduct.
- Participate in departmental audits and quality assurance programmes.
- Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.
- Ensure equipment is safe, fit for purpose and report faults in line with Nuffield Health policy.
- Maintain competency in intravenous cannulation and administration of contrast media.
- Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
- Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures.
- Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
Qualifications
- BSc degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent).
- Postgraduate qualification in an area of specialisation (desired).
- High levels of technical knowledge.
- Understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff.
- Respectful towards all individuals, including staff, patients and visitors.
- Proactive, forward‑thinking approach to work.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This position is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A submission will be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
