Junior Sourcing Specialist/Sourcing Specialist | Newbury | Full Time – 37 hours per week | Up to £35,000 per annum

Our client specializes in Electronics and has over 30 years of experience in managing all aspects of the supply chain, helping OEMs and CEMs across the UK, Europe, Asia, and North America to grow their businesses.

They are seeking a Junior Sourcing Specialist/Sourcing Specialist to join their team in Newbury. The role involves supporting the Senior Buyer (Quotes & Bids) to secure the best pricing, lead times, and stock availability from trusted supply partners to support customer project opportunities.

What will your role look like?

  • Generating and distributing RFQs to support business development
  • Assessing quotations based on cost, lead time, and stock data
  • Providing suggestions on best options to the Senior Buyer
  • Utilizing components from the Group line card where possible
  • S suggesting cost-saving alternatives and obtaining necessary approvals
  • Communicating with Key Account Managers & Account Executives to clarify customer information
  • Adapting proactively to changing customer demands
  • Providing regular reports on quotation status
  • Using MRP tools to order stock and meet customer demand
  • Raising Early Payment Requests when needed
  • Reviewing and maintaining system data accuracy
  • Representing the company professionally at all times
