Our client, based at Unit 5 Beech Court, Fenstanton, is excited to expand their team with the addition of a Head Pastry Chef. This is a full-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity for anyone passionate about patisserie.
They are looking for the right candidate to take their production to another level. The relevant candidate should have:
- Experience as a pastry chef or a Head Pastry Chef
- Familiarity with making pastries and petit gateaux, competent with chocolate work and able to manage a team
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Attention to detail and a passion for the craft
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the culinary team to plan and design pastry menus
- Ensuring consistent taste, presentation, and quality of all pastries by maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Efficiently managing ingredient inventory, placing orders, and monitoring stock levels to avoid shortages or wastage
- Preparing a variety of baked goods, including pastries, Petit Gateaux, chocolates and cakes
- Following recipes and maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Assisting in managing inventory and ensuring a clean, organised workspace
- Collaborating with team members to meet production goals and maintain efficient workflows
- Contributing creative ideas for new products and seasonal offerings
