Our client has a fantastic opportunity for an Employment Law Solicitor to join their busy and rapidly expanding Law Firm. They take great pride in their reputation for professionalism, client care, and their strong relationship with the Police Federation of England and Wales.

Employment Law Solicitor | Hybrid | Full-time | £30,000- £50,000 pa

Our client has a fantastic opportunity for an Employment Law Solicitor to join their busy and rapidly expanding Law Firm. They take great pride in their reputation for professionalism, client care, and their strong relationship with the Police Federation of England and Wales.

They deal with ongoing complex litigation involving a wide range of employment law including discrimination, whistleblowing, unfair dismissal, redundancy and general employment advice. They advise both employees and employers.

You will join a developing but rapidly expanding firm. The successful candidate will assist and head a number of ongoing cases as well as building their own caseload.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • A fully qualified Solicitor or FCILEx, or equivalent experience
  • A newly qualified solicitor or up to 3 years PQE with specific Employment Law and Litigation experience
  • Must have driving licence and their own transport
  • The drive and ambition to build your own caseload, developing strong relationships with local businesses
  • The ability to further develop our relationship with the Police Federation of England and Wales and Insurers
  • Excellent client care and interpersonal skills, with a focus on integrity, empathy, and intuition
  • Proficiency with Case Management Systems
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve the best outcomes for clients
  • Strong attention to detail, with effective time management and the ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Police Misconduct (advantageous but not essential)

What will your role look like?

  • Advising clients on potential Employment claims
  • Attending Employment Tribunals
  • Running a case load of Employment Tribunal claims, including drafting pleadings, drafting witness statements, negotiating settlements, advising on settlement agreements and instructing counsel or advocates as necessary
  • Developing ties with local businesses
