Job Overview

Location: West Midlands (Wednesbury and Wolverhampton) | Type: Full Time | Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (plus OTE up to £70,000)

We seek a compassionate and experienced Dual Registered Residential Children\’s Home Manager to oversee two residential homes specializing in supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The role involves leading staff, ensuring high standards of care, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of two residential homes, ensuring quality support for young people
  • Build relationships with families, social workers, and external agencies
  • Lead and support staff teams, promoting professional development
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards, including safeguarding
  • Develop care and health plans, oversee recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Manage budgets, rotas, and resources effectively
  • Create a safe, engaging environment for young people’s growth
  • Maintain accurate administrative records
  • Collaborate with senior management to drive continuous improvement
  • Address issues such as grievances and investigations

Candidate Requirements

  • Full, clean driver’s license
  • Proven experience as a Registered or Home Manager, with OFSTED inspections achieving Good or above
  • At least two years’ experience in children’s residential care within the last five years
  • Experience working with EBD young people and knowledge of therapeutic strategies
  • Understanding of Looked After Children (LAC) procedures
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent, or working towards it
