Bookkeeper/Account Assistant | Colchester, Essex | Office Based-4-5 days a week – Flexible hours available | Monday to Friday 9am – 4.30pm | £30,000 per year FTE depending on experience
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Bookkeeper/Account Assistant to join a fabulous firm of accountants!

Are you the right person for the job?
- AAT Qualification (Level 2, 3, 4 or qualified through experience)
- Good knowledge of Word and Excel
- Ability to use or learn various accounting software systems (experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage would be a bonus)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ideally experienced in payrolls, CIS returns, VAT returns, and preparation of income tax returns
What will your role look like?
- Carrying out various aspects of accounts preparation to support the senior accountants, including management accounts and year-end accounts
- Daily interaction with clients
- Assisting with VAT returns, payroll, and CIS returns in line with HMRC deadlines
