Overview

Senior Sommelier – Sale e Pepe Mare, The Langham, London. Join our luxury Italian dining team to deliver an exceptional wine experience as part of an iconic restaurant partnership.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional wine service across lunch and dinner operations.
  • Guide guests through the wine list with confidence and personality.
  • Recommend pairings that complement the menu and enhance the guest experience.
  • Support the management and development of the wine cellar and stock control.
  • Assist with wine ordering, rotation, and inventory processes.
  • Train and mentor junior sommeliers and front-of-house team members.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of Italian wines, regions, and producers.
  • Work closely with the kitchen and management teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Uphold the highest standards of presentation, service, and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Senior Sommelier or Sommelier within a premium restaurant or luxury hotel environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Italian wines and classic wine regions.
  • WSET qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Passion for guest experience and luxury hospitality.
  • Calm, organised, and professional approach during busy service periods.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A genuine passion for wine, food, and hospitality.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
