Senior Sommelier – Sale e Pepe Mare, The Langham, London. Join our luxury Italian dining team to deliver an exceptional wine experience as part of an iconic restaurant partnership.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional wine service across lunch and dinner operations.
- Guide guests through the wine list with confidence and personality.
- Recommend pairings that complement the menu and enhance the guest experience.
- Support the management and development of the wine cellar and stock control.
- Assist with wine ordering, rotation, and inventory processes.
- Train and mentor junior sommeliers and front-of-house team members.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of Italian wines, regions, and producers.
- Work closely with the kitchen and management teams to ensure seamless service.
- Uphold the highest standards of presentation, service, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Senior Sommelier or Sommelier within a premium restaurant or luxury hotel environment.
- Strong knowledge of Italian wines and classic wine regions.
- WSET qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Passion for guest experience and luxury hospitality.
- Calm, organised, and professional approach during busy service periods.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A genuine passion for wine, food, and hospitality.
- Full right to work in the UK.
