Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring every guest enjoys a warm, polished, and memorable dining experience from arrival to departure.
- Lead and support the front-of-house service team during service, maintaining high standards of professionalism, efficiency, and hospitality.
- Work closely with restaurant management to coordinate service flow, table allocations, and guest requests, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Act as a key point of contact for guests, confidently handling enquiries, special requests, and feedback with discretion and care.
- Support training and development of junior team members, leading by example and reinforcing service standards and brand values.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and sommelier teams to ensure seamless communication between front and back of house.
- Ensure service areas are impeccably prepared and maintained before, during, and after service.
- Uphold the spirit of Italian hospitality that defines Sale e Pepe, delivering warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service at all times.
Requirements / Skills:
- Proven experience as a Head Waiter/ess, Senior Waiter/ess, or similar supervisory role in a high-end restaurant or luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong service knowledge with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and focused during busy services.
- Professional, personable, and confident manner when interacting with guests and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in line with restaurant operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within Italian or fine-dining restaurants is desirable.
