Located within The Langham, one of the world's most iconic luxury hotels, La Terrazza offers guests an exceptional al fresco dining experience throughout the summer, combining outstanding food, refined cocktails, and genuine Italian hospitality in a beautiful outdoor setting. We are looking for an experienced and charismatic Head Host / Hostess to become the welcoming face of La Terrazza. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Head Host / Hostess who thrives in a premium hospitality environment and understands that the guest experience begins long before the first dish reaches the table. This role will initially focus on La Terrazza and may transfer to the main restaurant during low season. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and reservations team, you will oversee the reception desk, manage guest flow, maximise table utilisation and set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The Head Host / Hostess will also act as a role model for the wider front-of-house team, demonstrating impeccable standards of service, organisation and hospitality. Responsibilities Welcome every guest with confidence, warmth and professionalism Manage reservations and walk-in guests efficiently Coordinate table allocations to maximise covers whilst maintaining an exceptional guest experience Liaise closely with the restaurant management and floor teams throughout service Handle guest enquiries and special requests with care and attention Build genuine relationships with returning guests and recognise VIPs Resolve guest concerns calmly and professionally Support and mentor junior hosts where required Ensure the reception area is always immaculate and reflects our luxury standards About You You are an experienced Head Host / Hostess who genuinely enjoys creating memorable first impressions. You will have: Previous experience as a Head or Senior Host, Host or Hostess within a premium restaurant or luxury hotel Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills A naturally warm, confident and engaging personality Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities Experience using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar A calm approach under pressure Impeccable personal presentation A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and guest service If you are an experienced Head Host / Hostess looking to join one of London's most exciting hospitality groups, we would love to hear from you.
