About the Role
We are seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Night Concierge to join our front-of-house team.
As the primary point of contact for residents, visitors, and contractors during overnight hours, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and professionally managed environment. You will be responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations, monitoring building systems, responding to resident enquiries, and ensuring any incidents, maintenance concerns, or security issues are managed and communicated effectively.
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of providing clear and accurate information to residents, colleagues, and management. You will take pride in your appearance and presentation, maintain high standards of professionalism, and be comfortable working independently throughout the night while exercising sound judgement and initiative. This role requires someone who is organised, observant, dependable, and able to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Resident Support & Customer Service
- Act as the primary overnight point of contact for residents and visitors.
- Deliver a professional and responsive customer service experience.
- Respond to enquiries, requests and incidents effectively.
- Record resident interactions and incidents accurately within company systems.
- Coordinate emergency and urgent maintenance responses where required.
- Build positive relationships with residents and provide reassurance during overnight hours.
Security & Building Monitoring
- Monitor CCTV, access control systems, alarms and security systems.
- Control access to the building and verify visitor and contractor authorisation.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections throughout the development.
- Identify, investigate and report security concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate incident, security and shift records.
- Ensure the safety and security of residents, visitors and the building at all times.
Building Operations
- Carry out routine inspections of communal areas and amenities.
- Monitor building systems and report faults or defects.
- Escalate maintenance issues and emergencies in accordance with company procedures.
- Manage overnight deliveries, parcels and operational enquiries.
- Complete detailed shift reports and provide effective handovers to the day team.
- Maintain clear and accurate communication with management, ensuring incidents, defects, resident concerns, and security matters are recorded and escalated appropriately.
- Take ownership of the building during overnight hours, making informed decisions in accordance with company procedures and emergency protocols.
Building Presentation & Standards
- Monitor communal areas to ensure presentation standards are maintained.
- Address minor cleanliness or presentation issues identified during patrols.
- Report housekeeping and maintenance concerns promptly.
- Support the overall appearance and professional presentation of the development.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company policies, procedures and emergency response plans.
- Support building safety and compliance activities.
- Report hazards, incidents and deficiencies immediately.
- Maintain an up-to-date awareness of fire safety, emergency evacuation and incident response procedures.
About You
You will have:
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive experiences for residents, visitors, and contractors.
- Previous experience within concierge, front-of-house, hospitality, residential, hotel, customer service, or security-focused environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, detailed, and accurate handovers, incident reports, and updates to colleagues and management.
- A professional, well-presented, and approachable manner, acting as an ambassador for the development at all times.
- The confidence and self-motivation to work independently during overnight shifts, taking ownership of the building and making informed decisions when required.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail, ensuring records, reports, and operational tasks are completed accurately.
- The ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused when dealing with emergencies, incidents, complaints, or challenging situations.
- Good problem-solving skills and sound judgement, with the confidence to identify issues, assess risk, and take appropriate action in accordance with company procedures.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to identify concerns before they escalate and take initiative to resolve issues wherever possible.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, email, digital reporting tools, spreadsheets, and property management systems.
- The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and operational systems.
- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, presentation, security, and customer service.
- A strong sense of accountability and responsibility, recognising that the Night Concierge is often the primary on-site representative of the development during overnight hours.
- The ability to conduct building inspections, monitor communal areas, and support the overall safety, security, and presentation of the development.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Customer service, concierge, hospitality, front-of-house, residential, hotel, or security experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience handling incidents, complaints, or emergency situations in a professional manner.
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- Strong IT and administration skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Professional appearance and commitment to maintaining high personal standards.
Desirable
- Concierge, security or residential property experience.
- Knowledge of CCTV and access control systems.
- First Aid qualification.
- Fire Safety Awareness Training.
- Experience working within a high-rise residential environment.
- Experience within residential property, Build-to-Rent, hotels, serviced apartments or luxury hospitality.
