Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site evaluations of patient referrals and complete daily sales calls on target markets and referral sources.
- Identify the needs of patients/families and direct referrals to the facility.
- Represent the facility at community partner meetings and identify market needs.
- Make daily sales calls per business development plan targets and goals.
- Generate referrals to support facility census and quality mix goals.
- Assist with development and execution of strategic and development plans, including: analyzing local healthcare systems to identify market opportunities, marketing the facility’s core competitive advantages, building a core selling message, and coordinating selling strategies with the facility.
- Conduct on-site patient evaluations in a timely manner and follow up appropriately.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with facility staff to support their needs.
- Conduct bedside sales to determine transitional needs and educate patients/families on facility services and admission standards.
- Collaborate with the facility to understand and operationalize census, quality mix goals, and referral processes.
- Communicate with the facility administrator to ensure customer expectations are exceeded and resolve any issues or complaints.
- Build relationships with program managers and directors in the market.
- Identify, attend, and represent the facility at post-acute collaborative functions.
- Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent related work experience acceptable.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare; licensed clinicians preferred but not required.
- 2 years of sales and/or marketing experience; case management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of long-term care business, including census, quality mix goals, and referral expectations.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
- Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
