Salamander Pumps offers a comprehensive range of products designed to power your shower, tap, or the whole house, as well as innovative solutions for gaining valuable water insights. We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Training and Technical Support Manager to work as part of the Marketing team. The individual will become a technical lead for Salamander Pumps working across all areas of the business and the role will include a variety of tasks designed to educate our re-sellers, customers and employees on our product range and their installation requirements.
The day to day:
- Development and delivery of training workshops and product demonstrations which will be presented in person and via digital means such as webinars.
- Working with stakeholders, including employees, installers, merchants, engineers and college students to educate on the Salamander product range.
- Customer Experience team support: Ensuring that technical and plumbing advice given via our Customer Service team is accurate.
- R&D team support: Working in close liaison with the team, giving input to new product development and delivering the education required to support product launches.
- Marketing: Working closely to support with digital content development including e-school modules, training animations, video, and blogs.
- Development and maintenance of technical literature including installation guidelines and data sheets, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Building relationships with key bodies including Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers and City and Guilds to educate on and promote the brand and product range.
- Installer liaison, becoming a known representative of Salamander Pumps from a technical perspective, offering installation advice and customer service support as and when required.
Your skills and experience should include:
- The understanding and experience of plumbing and domestic, and light commercial heating systems.
- Being self-motivated with a desire to develop and make the role your own.
- Confidence to deliver technical training sessions and product demonstrations in front of a variety of audiences.
- Understanding of key Microsoft Programmes including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
What we can offer you:
- A great working environment with a team that supports one another.
- 38 hours per week. Typically, Monday β Friday, 8:30am β 5:00pm with a 3:00pm finish on a Friday, but with flexibility to meet the needs of the role as there will be, on occasion, a requirement for travel within the UK and ROI, evening training sessions and exhibition attendance.
