Powder Coater/Paintline Operative Permanent Huddersfield Salary Depends on experience + Overtime + Bonus + Cost of living spree card. Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:15pm and 6:45am – 12:45pm on a Friday. There will be overalls provided and an allowance for safety boots. Company description The company: A forward-thinking family-owned Sheet metal manufacturing business who have recently seen large capital investment in the latest automation and equipment. The company are focused on doubling the output in the next 3-5 years whilst maintaining / improving margins. This subcontract manufacturer supplies to a variety of sectors and has seen considerable growth in the last couple of years. This is a very exciting time to join this expanding business. With more than 50 years’ extensive experience and an unrivalled drive for innovation, Salamander have honed our reputation as a leading name in the industry. Using the latest technology, we deliver a comprehensive and holistic solution to meet all sheet metal needs. We offer a full design service, in addition to CNC punching, laser cutting, CNC bending, welding and fabrication of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, powder coating and electro-mechanical assembly We supply services nationally across a broad range of sectors, including Agricultural, Automotive, Construction, Digital signage, Food processing, Kiosk and vending, Scientific and medical and more. Role of a Powder Coater will include: * Cleaning and preparation of all metalwork prior to coating to include bunging of holes * Following procedures and working to schedules * Maintaining the required quality of all items passing through the coating process * Maintain all the equipment on the Powder Coating line to include Gema spray guns and setting the automated reciprocator system. * Spraying a variety of components with Gema equipment * Hanging parts on the conveyorized line in the most efficient manner * Ensure the work area is cleaned on a daily basis or whenever you are not carrying out other duties * Packing of parts as they come off the paint line to ensure they arrive at our customers undamaged. * Using simple power tools like drill’s, orbital sanders and grinders in a safe manner Competencies * Have at least 2- 3 years previous experience of powder coating. * Knowledge of methods and techniques related to painting (powder coating) * Methods and techniques related to the safe use, storage and disposal of paint and cleaning products, chemicals, and safe clean-up techniques and practices. * Capable of using simple power tools in a safe manner
