An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to help set up and lead a brand‑new 3 bedroom, all en‑suite children’s home in Shropshire. This is your opportunity to help shape a home from the beginning and deliver outstanding care.

You shall be joining an established organisation with a strong emphasis on a therapeutic childcare model and commitment to achieving the highest Ofsted standards. You will receive full support from experienced directors and a child‑focused Responsible Individual.

Key Responsibilities

Home Setup & Safeguarding

  • Collaborate closely with the Responsible Individual to establish and develop the home.
  • Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children and young people.
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, statutory guidance, and internal policies.
  • Lead and oversee the day‑to‑day operations of a children’s residential home.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of care, safeguarding, documentation, and reporting.
  • Liaise with local authorities to ensure effective placement matching to support positive outcomes for young people.

Team Management & Support

  • Provide strong leadership, guidance, and regular supervision to staff.
  • Manage staff performance, rotas, professional development, and ongoing training.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the service.
