Job Overview

Saiva Munnetta Sangam is Hindu Charity (292085) operating in east London, currently recruiting for the Hindu (Tamil speaking) Religious worker / Temple Assistant in non‑pastoral role with immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Priest of our Chidambareswarar Temple with religious work.
• Help with Madapalli (cooking prasadam) duties, garland making for God, making Mothakam, Vadai, Panchamirtham and other items, and distribute them to devotees.
• Guide elders to assist with their mobility around the temple.
• Perform day‑to‑day ceremonies in accordance with Hindu/Saiva traditions.
• Not responsible for leading a congregation or performing rites, ceremonies or preaching the faith.

Qualifications

• Well versed in the Hindu Saiva tradition and reputable Hindu temple/archirams.
• Ability to assist in rituals and support the Chief Priest.

Legal and Compliance
