HR Shared Services Manager - UK 6 month FTC - with high potential to go perm. Hybrid working (3 days in the office).

Saisei Talent are delighted to be partnering with an incredible fast-paced, multi-entity Global Media business to hire a newly created UK HR Operations Manager role. The foundations are in place. There’s a capable team in situ with existing processes, and a business that has scaled quickly. This role sits within the UK People function, supporting multiple entities and working closely with HR Business Partners, Talent and L&D and reporting into a fantastic Head of HR.

This is a brilliant opportunity to establish an HR operations function and there is a clear opportunity to make it so much more efficient and impactful.

  • Leading and developing an HR admin team of 2, while also taking ownership of how the shared service runs overall.
  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of HR Administrators, bringing more structure, accountability and consistency to how they operate.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the HR shared service, including management of the HR inbox, allocation of workload and ensuring timely, accurate responses.
  • Reviewing how the shared service currently operates across multiple entities and identifying where improvements are needed.
  • Streamlining and improving HR processes to ensure they are efficient, scalable and consistently applied across the business.
  • Driving better use of the HR system (HiBob), improving data accuracy, reporting and overall system utilisation.
  • Strengthening how HR data is managed, ensuring integrity, compliance and meaningful reporting.
  • Acting as a point of escalation for complex HR queries and operational issues.
  • Building strong relationships with HR Business Partners and specialist teams to ensure alignment and effective support.
  • Ensuring HR processes are compliant with UK legislation and internal policies, with clear and audit-ready documentation.
  • Continuously assessing the effectiveness of the shared service and making improvements to raise overall performance.

Experience working within an HR operations or shared services environment, with a clear understanding of how these functions should run in practice. Exposure to a multi-entity or multi-brand business, with the ability to bring consistency across different ways of working. A background in a larger, fast-paced commercial organisation, comfortable managing volume, complexity and competing priorities. Strong team management experience, with the ability to develop others, set clear expectations and raise overall performance. Strong operational mindset, with a focus on process, structure, data and delivery.
