At Saisei Talent, I’m delighted to be supporting a global media & entertainment brand as they embark on a major transformation project. One that’s not only exciting in scope, but genuinely game-changing for the customer experience.
This exciting business is about to launch a pioneering new piece of technology that will evolve how customers engage with their product. It’s a bold move, and they need someone equally bold (and brilliant!) to lead the charge on training: designing it, delivering it to team managers, and rolling it out first across the UK and then into Europe.
We’re looking for a Group Learning & Development Manager who can bring this to life in a way that’s practical, inspiring, and rooted in the real day-to-day of operational teams. Someone who’s not just comfortable being close to the ground, but who thrives on it.
A little more about the Role:
This is a unique opportunity to shape the training and capability strategy for an exciting new chapter in the business. You’ll be the person who builds confidence in the change, from the first manager who sees it to the last team to roll it out.
You’ll design modular, scalable learning frameworks that meet the needs of diverse teams and roles, while working closely with HR and operations to ensure everything you build actually lands and lasts. This isn’t a “tick the box” L&D role. It’s about embedding new ways of working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. Creating clarity. Building trust. Making change feel achievable and energising.
Reporting to the People Director for the UK & Ireland, you will sit as part of a wider People team, partnering with the TA lead & the Senior People Partner to ensure the employee experience is exceptional. This is a global organisation with approximately 10,000 employees, 4000 in the UK and sits in the UK HQ with around 150 employees.
What You’ll Be Getting Involved With:
- Designing training that launches a groundbreaking new tech platform, shaping how it’s understood, adopted and embedded.
- Rolling this training out across the UK to start with, partnering with managers and ops teams to ensure it’s embraced on the ground.
- Creating frameworks and toolkits that are consistent, scalable, and easy for local teams to use as the rollout expands across Europe.
- Coaching and equipping managers to lead confidently through change, with the tools and support to bring their teams with them.
- Collaborating with HR leads, comms and ops to align training with broader business strategy and cultural values.
- Measuring impact, collecting feedback, and continuously evolving your approach as the rollout unfolds.
- Championing learning as a key part of employee engagement, performance and customer success.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in retail, hospitality or manufacturing would help you on this journey as you will have worked on the ground and understand what training looks like in the real world.
- A solid background in L&D, with a track record of creating and delivering frameworks that stick, across countries and cultures.
- Hands-on experience leading the full training cycle: from discovery to design, delivery to evaluation.
- A people-first mindset and be able to meet teams where they are, and guide them through change with empathy and confidence.
- The ability to work strategically and operationally at the same time (you’re equally happy in a boardroom or briefing a shift manager).
- Experience supporting digital transformation or the introduction of new tools/tech would be a real bonus.
- Confidence working across regions, with experience across Europe being a real plus!
What’s In It for You?
This role offers real scope, influence and visibility as well as the chance to lead something meaningful from day one. You’ll be part of a warm, collaborative, and ambitious environment that’s invested in people and driven by innovation.
If you’re someone who’s passionate about learning that makes a difference and you love the idea of launching something exciting from the ground up, this could be the job for you!
