St Jude’s Catholic Primary School is a friendly, Catholic school with a nurturing ethos. We are seeking to appoint a positive, inspirational and self‑motivated Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is suitably qualified and experienced.

Responsibilities:

  • Have a sound knowledge of working with young children in an Early Years setting.
  • Have an energetic and creative approach to learning.
  • Provide excellent support for the class teacher and children.
  • Have strong behaviour management skills.
  • Have excellent inclusive practice including effective questioning techniques and strategies to develop children’s communication and language.
  • Have high expectations for all children and be committed to enabling children to develop their full potential.
  • Have a willingness to work as part of a team, with excellent organisational skills, in a fast‑paced environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • An approved Early Years Level 3 qualification (see DfE criteria).
  • Basic literacy and numeracy qualifications.
  • Hold a certificate in paediatric first aid (or be prepared to receive the training).
