Nursery Assistant
This is a part time, fixed-term, term time only role.
Starting date: As soon as possible
9.5 hours per week
(All day Tuesday 8.45am-3.15pm and Friday 11.45am-3.15pm)
Grade 3 SCP 5-6 FTE £25,584 - £25,989 (subject to pay body review)
(Actual Annual Salary from £5,493-£5,580) (subject to pay review)
Saint Sebastian’s Church of England Primary School are looking for a fun, energetic and committed team member to join our staffing team. You will be involved in supporting the learning and development of children in our Nursery.

Main purpose:
To provide support to Nursery pupils in line with the National Curriculum, codes of practice and school policies and procedures.
Duties include:
- Establishing positive relationships with pupils
- Supporting pupils with activities which support literacy and numeracy skills
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping keep pupils on track
- Assisting with displaying and presenting pupils’ work
- Assisting with taking pupils on educational visits
General requirements:
- Able to build a positive rapport and exercise patience and consistency
- Kind, caring and compassionate
- Experience with, or a love of, working with young people
- An awareness of commitment to equality
- Basic understanding of health and safety
- Understanding and implementing child protection procedures
