We are looking for Healthcare Assistants to work with our community based team in Harrogate and the Hambleton and Richmond area.

Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate care and support for patients' daily needs including palliative and end‑of‑life care.
  • Use good communication and interpersonal skills to work with patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals.
  • Follow care plans, policies and procedures including infection control and safety guidelines.
  • Perform basic clinical skills such as medication administration and monitoring within the scope of your training and competence.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with volunteers.
  • Maintain accurate records and document care provided.
  • Respect patient dignity, hygiene and safeguarding, including care after death.
  • Handle manual tasks safely and use equipment to support patient independence.
  • Provide flexibility to support different teams and tasks, including meals, housekeeping and general patient comfort.
  • Use your own vehicle and keep a current driving licence to travel between community sites.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Current driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Previous experience or training in nursing assistants or care work (e.g., support worker, homecare, NHS).
  • Understanding of infection control, safeguarding and patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage stress and adaptability to shift work including nights and weekends.
  • Good communication skills and a caring attitude.
  • Competent in basic clinical tasks such as medication administration and monitoring.
