Class Based Support Staff Term Time Only (39 weeks per year) 25 hours per week Monday-Friday, 8.40am-3.10pm.

We are seeking to appoint two Class Based Support Staff to join our Primary Phase team, with one position based at our Peninsula Campus and one position based at our Woolwich Campus. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced, enthusiastic and committed individuals to make a real difference to the lives of our pupils by providing high-quality classroom support. The role may include supporting a child with significant additional needs, so applicants should ideally have experience of working within a class-based setting.

We are looking for candidates with previous experience of working with primary-aged children. This experience may have been gained in a mainstream school, specialist provision or another relevant setting. Successful applicants will join a welcoming, supportive and multi-disciplinary team committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.

There may also be the opportunity to undertake an additional role as a Midday Meal Supervisor for one hour per day, with an additional salary.

  • Hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification (essential).
  • Have experience of working with children with SEND (desirable).
  • Have knowledge and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (desirable).
  • Can plan and deliver effective interventions tailored to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Demonstrate a professional, caring and positive approach.
  • Are enthusiastic, flexible and committed to supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills.
