At Farecla we are looking for a Production Operative to work in our Operations team, helping to deliver high-quality manufacturing output, maintain efficient production processes, and ensure products are produced safely and to the highest standards. You'll work with experienced colleagues in a hands-on environment including heavy lifting, operating equipment, maintaining production standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business where your contribution will have a direct impact on delivering products to customers worldwide.

This is a permanent role based in Ware, and operates on a rotating shift pattern:

  • Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am - 2:00pm, Friday 6:00am - 12:45pm
  • Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 10:00am - 18:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 2:45pm

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • A strong awareness of health and safety, including an understanding of COSHH regulations and the ability to always follow health and safety procedures.
  • Good attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while taking ownership of your responsibilities.
  • Basic IT, literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to accurately record production information.
  • Experience driving counterbalance (desirable).

What you will be doing:

  • Setting up and staging materials for production processes and operating manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitoring production machinery, troubleshooting minor issues, and helping to maintain equipment performance.
  • Recording production data and ensuring products meet required quality standards.
  • Supporting stock control activities, including stock checks and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety and 5S practices while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
