Transport Team Leader

At Calders & Grandidge, part of the globally recognized Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, we’re on the lookout for a passionate and driven Transport Team Leader to manage our talented team of Transport Coordinators and Commercial Drivers.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-4pm (with flexibility as needed)

From ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements to optimizing fleet and driver performance, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Ensuring our fleet and operations are fully compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.

• Managing and maintaining our commercial vehicles while keeping associated costs under control.

• Analysing and improving load efficiencies, driver utilization, fleet performance, and on-time delivery (OTIF).

• Resolving customer issues swiftly and effectively.

• Leading and supporting a team of Transport Coordinators and Drivers to achieve their best.

• Experience in the transport industry with a strong understanding of compliance.

• A proactive approach to analyzing and improving efficiencies across the board.

• Strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected challenges like breakdowns or defects.

• A people person who can motivate and manage a team with confidence.

• Someone ready to bring energy, enthusiasm, and ideas to a fast-paced role.

• CPC certified or OLAT certification (ideal but not mandatory)
