At Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, we are looking for a Skills Partnerships Manager to join our Partnerships team, helping us create interest, demand and clear pathways into careers within construction. This is a unique and rewarding role, focused on inspiring the next generation while also supporting experienced tradespeople through modern training techniques. You will work closely with schools, colleges, commercial training providers and sub-contractors, delivering hands-on demonstrations and promoting routes into the construction industry. This is a home-based role with frequent national travel, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
What we are looking for:
- A time-served plasterer with a minimum of 5 years' site-based experience within plastering or a related interior trade
- A genuine passion for engaging with young people and encouraging them to pursue careers within construction
- Confidence and ability to carry out practical demonstrations in both site and educational environments
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences
What you will be doing:
- Delivering practical plastering demonstrations and training sessions on-site and within college and school environments
- Working with schools, colleges and commercial training providers to promote career opportunities within the construction industry
- Supporting plastering and interior systems apprenticeship standards nationally, including providing CPD for tutors to ensure high-quality training delivery
- Supporting training providers with our site-ready skimming course, working alongside employers and contractors to develop the next generation of skilled plasterers
- Attending job fairs, careers events, colleges, schools and construction sites across the UK
