At Okarno, we are looking for an Area Supervisor to join our Operations team, helping to lead our warehouse activities, support our colleagues and ensure we continue to deliver safe, efficient and reliable service to our customers. This role will be a key part of our warehouse leadership team, providing hands-on support and guidance to colleagues across the operation. Working alongside warehouse operatives, you'll play an important role in coordinating daily activities, allocating tasks, monitoring progress and helping the team achieve operational targets. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being visible on the shop floor, supporting others and making a real impact on day-to-day operations.
The role is full-time, working on a rotating shift pattern:
- Week 1: Monday - Thursday 06:00 - 14:00, Friday 06:00 - 13:00
- Week 2: Monday - Thursday 14:00 - 22:00, Friday 13:00 - 20:00
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience working within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment, with a good understanding of warehouse processes including picking, packing, stock handling and dispatch.
- Experience supporting, guiding or coaching colleagues, with the confidence to allocate tasks and provide day-to-day direction on the shop floor.
- A strong commitment to health and safety, quality and maintaining high operational standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to lead by example and work alongside the team to achieve shared goals.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting the daily running of warehouse operations by coordinating activities, allocating tasks and monitoring progress throughout the shift.
- Working alongside warehouse colleagues to ensure customer orders are completed safely, accurately and efficiently.
- Providing guidance, coaching and feedback to team members while promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Identifying operational issues, supporting problem-solving and escalating concerns where required.
- Acting as a role model for safe working practices, quality standards and operational discipline across the warehouse.
