Laboratory Apprentice to join our R&D Laboratory team, where you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the development, testing and quality assurance of innovative construction chemical products.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for science who wants to kick-start their career in a laboratory environment.

You'll work alongside experienced chemists and technical specialists, learning how new products are developed, how quality is maintained and how laboratory testing supports customers across the construction industry.

Every day will be different, giving you exposure to Quality Control, Research & Development and customer sample preparation.

What we're looking for

  • A genuine passion for chemistry, science and learning new skills within a laboratory environment.
  • A minimum of A Levels with subjects including scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Maths
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow laboratory procedures accurately and safely.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to ask questions, learn from others and work collaboratively.
  • A proactive, organised approach with good IT skills and a willingness to develop technical knowledge.
  • What you'll be doing
  • Supporting Quality Control laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process products and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Assisting with the preparation, packaging and dispatch of customer samples, ensuring they are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Working alongside our Research & Development team to help develop and test new products and formulations.
  • Recording laboratory data, analysing results and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Helping to maintain laboratory equipment, housekeeping standards and safe working practices while contributing to continuous improvement activities.
