At Saint-Gobain, we're committed to making the world a better home, and understanding the environmental impact of our products is central to that mission. As a Senior Life Cycle Engineer, you'll use your expertise in LCA and sustainability data to ensure compliance with voluntary and mandatory product-level LCA reporting (i.e. EPD and CPR-DoPC), influence product development and carbon reduction strategies, and help shape the future of sustainable construction.

The role is fully remote. We do at times come together in East Leake, Loughborough, and occasional site visits are necessary.

What we’re looking for:

  • Hands-on expertise/extensive experience using GaBi (LCA for Experts)
  • Experience developing LCAs, EPDs and environmental impact assessments within a manufacturing, construction or industrial setting.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex sustainability data and turn it into actionable insights.
  • Proven track record of leading projects and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver sustainability outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to train, influence and act as a subject matter expert on LCA and environmental sustainability.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) projects, delivering robust environmental analysis and insights to support product development, sustainability objectives, and business decision-making.
  • Analyse and interpret environmental data across products, manufacturing sites, and business units, providing recommendations that drive sustainability performance and carbon reduction initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance LCA models, tools and methodologies, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with Saint-Gobain's global standards and best practices.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, R&D, Purchasing and Operational stakeholders, to support eco-innovation projects and identify opportunities to improve environmental performance and circularity.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for LCA and EPD, delivering training, guidance and technical support to build capability across the business and promote best practice.
  • Represent Saint-Gobain internally and externally, collaborating with industry groups, sharing expertise, and contributing to sustainability roadmaps, including CO₂ reduction and circular economy initiatives.
