Technical Manager – Flooring

At Weber, we have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager – Flooring to join us and help grow our Flooring division.

You will be responsible for providing market-leading technical support with our customers, ensuring compliance with standards. You’ll also be working with both our internal and external stakeholders, to meet our technical requirements, managing our technical collateral as well as an oversight of our strategic projects.

We are looking for someone who would have experience in dealing with governing bodies, as well as a technical background in flooring – we’d like this person to be able to go out on site able to deliver some technical competency as well as being able to read/write specifications.

The role is home-based, but does require 2 days a week in our Flitwick/Telford office as well as able to travel to customer sites.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous technical experience in flooring, with a proven track record of hitting and meeting key milestones
  • An ability to think both strategically, and technically to develop opportunities
  • Able to interpret and create technical drawings, specifications and documents
  • You’ll be proactive, autonomous and able to manage multiple work-streams
  • Experienced in providing technical guidance, and also improving knowledge across internal and external stakeholders

What you will be doing:

  • Writing specifications and providing technical support on projects with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing and ownership of technical guidance including regular updates as/when required
  • Site support services including moisture testing, toolbox talks and delivery of cpd presentations
  • Internal development of staff – mentoring and developing technical team and working alongside the certification manager
  • Supporting customer ensuring compliance with legislation and industry standards
