Our Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland Commercial Sector are looking for a Strategic Account Manager, to own and grow a defined portfolio of national and regional tier-1 main contractor accounts. This is a genuine key account management role β€” where your success will be measured by the depth of your partnerships, the quality of your joint business plans, and the long-term revenue you unlock across our Saint-Gobain brand portfolio. A major part of the role will be gaining maximum value from our Main Contractor Framework Partners through structured, proactive account stewardship β€” mapping stakeholder networks, identifying whitespace opportunities, and positioning Saint-Gobain as a long-term strategic partner, not just a supplier . You will be an experienced key account manager who is highly customer focused, able to build and maintain trusted, multi-level relationships across your accounts β€” engaging at board, commercial, and operational levels with both external partners and internal stakeholder s. This role covers London & the Southeast regions; extensive travel will be required with some overnight sta ys. What we're looking for: Proven key account management professional – with a track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder accounts within construction & building over the long termTechnical and practical knowledge of construction products and understanding of RIBA project s tagesThe ability to understand customer key strategic drivers and translate them into structured joint business account plans with clear milestones and measurable out comesSelf-motivated and able to use own initiative to deliver exceptional re sultsStrong influencing & negotiation skills β€” able to align internal and external stakeholders around shared objectives without direct auth ority What you'll be doing: Owning a defined portfolio of tier-1 and regional main contractor accounts, serving as their primary Saint-Gobain relationship owner at all levelsDesigning and executing comprehensive account plans with short-term milestones and long-term revenue goals, tracking progress and adapting as neededInfluencing specifications during early-stage engagement by working closely with pre-construction and design teams within your a ccountsActing as the internal voice of your accounts β€” aligning Area Sales Managers and Project Specification Managers around the right opportunities at the rig ht timeDriving maximum value from Main Contractor Framework agreements through consistent, structured account management of tier-1 p artners Are Saint-Gobain inclusive em ployers?
