At Saint‑Gobain UK & Ireland, we are looking for a Project Specification Manager to join our Commercial sector team, supporting prioritised projects across the North West regions. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, influencing and providing technical and commercial support across key commercial projects. You will work closely with architects, professional specialist consultants, specialist engineers, main contractors and sub‑contractors, influencing system choice and agreeing fully compliant, value‑led system propositions aligned to Saint‑Gobain Interior Solutions’ commercial and specification strategies. This is a hybrid role, covering North West regions including Manchester and Liverpool. You will regularly travel to support customers and projects, with site and stakeholder visits forming a core part of the role.

What we’re looking for:

  • Understanding of technical specification documents, including construction drawings and details
  • Strong understanding of the construction process, including project delivery methods and decision‑making influencers
  • Ability to build relationships, network and influence across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness, with attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Effective presentation, communication and articulation skills
  • Collaborative mindset, able to maximise influence and impact internally and externally
  • Knowledge and understanding of fire, acoustic and structural test reports and their application to system solutions

What you will be doing:

  • Managing and influencing prioritised commercial projects to maximise full system specification and conversion
  • Providing technically compliant and commercially competitive system solutions aligned to company strategy
  • Engaging and consulting with architects, consultants, main contractors and specialist sub‑contractors to agree full system propositions
  • Identifying and developing new specification opportunities and managing projects through to conversion
  • Delivering CPD presentations and technical value propositions to customers and clients
  • Strengthening relationships with specialist sub‑contractors and supply chain partners
  • Feeding back market and customer insight to support and challenge internal stakeholders
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of products and services to support market adoption
  • Maintaining accurate project, specification and pipeline data
