At Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals, we are seeking a Cement Manager for the UK&I and Nordic regions. This role is a vital part of our UK leadership team, responsible for managing business initiatives with key customer accounts to develop and execute strategic plans for profitable growth. The ideal candidate will be a market specialist, taking a strategic approach with cement customer accounts, developing value-adding products aligned with customer and Construction Chemicals UKI strategies. This is a home-based position, requiring regular travel across the UK & Ireland and to the Nordics as needed.
Key qualifications include:
- Solid knowledge of cement application, chemistry, and processes
- Diploma in engineering, chemistry, or equivalent
- Strong marketing, commercial, and sales skills, with the ability to convert visits and trials into orders and manage long-term negotiations
- Ability to build strong relationships with key customers domestically and internationally
- Leadership qualities, strategic mindset, and excellent communication skills
- Innovative thinking with the ability to turn ideas into actionable plans
Responsibilities include:
- Marketing, selling, and promoting CHRYSOβs cement products and services within the UK&I and Nordics
- Analyzing target markets and customer expectations, including economic analysis and competitive evaluation, and developing annual marketing plans
- Proposing and executing action plans for market areas
- Following up with targeted customers, ensuring Key Account Management coherence, and anticipating customer needs to propose innovative solutions
- Achieving industrial margins and optimizing product mix
- Growing sales of added-value products and margins
- Conducting technical trials in cement plants to demonstrate product efficiency and economy
- Managing customer credits and DSO
- Providing monthly reports on sales development, including turnover, margins, and customer database updates
- Forecasting sales and preparing budgets
