Job Purpose: A business-critical role ensuring compliance, reducing risk and embedding a strong safety culture at our Larne site. Working closely with site leaders and colleagues, taking hands-on responsibility for developing, implementing and maintaining compliance, health and safety policies, ensuring operational excellence in a high-risk, fast-paced environment. Delivering best practice and excellence through coaching and mentoring peers and colleagues.
Essential Criteria
- NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
- Previous experience managing ISO45001 accreditation
- At least 3 years experience managing Health & Safety Management within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in UK and Ireland
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive on-site Health & Safety, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify and mitigate key risks associated with heavy plant manufacturing (e.g., machinery safety, lifting operations, working at height, noise, vibration, hazardous substances).
- Management of risk assessments ensuring they comply with relevant legislations and regulations whilst applicable to site operations and communicated to all relevant people
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, such as World Class Manufacturing and identifying innovative ways to enhance safety performance.
Desirable
- NEBOSH qualification in Fire Safety and Risk Assessment
- Awareness of new digital solutions relevant to the role
- IOSH membership
- ISO Internal Auditor
