This is a remote role with territory coverage being on the West Coast. The Technical Sales Representative (TSR) is responsible for coordinating sales activities within the assigned territory, creating added value for the customer with a clear focus on increasing market share, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Essential functions of this role include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of the account plans and growth actions.
  • Defining sales targets for the account, and ensuring they are achieved with a structured follow-up process utilizing a Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM).
  • Providing solutions for businesses that align with volume, mix and profitability targets.
  • Monitoring competitor activity and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Building long-term relationships with customers ensuring that service needs are fulfilled.
  • Networking through active participation in industry association events and committee assignments.
  • Actively working with other departments including manufacturing and logistics to ensure customer service needs are met.
  • Identifying bottlenecks in service delivery and working within the Company to resolve issues.
  • Coordinating sales activities with team members in business development and application specialists.

Is this job for you?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or other relevant field with a Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in sales or an operational role in construction and/or concrete.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Technical aptitude for construction products and their application with significant experience in concrete production or construction.
  • Ability to understand customers' business needs and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Collecting and analyzing data concerning customer behaviour to understand changing needs in the market.
  • Knowledge and experience using MS Office tools and CRMs.
