What you’ll be doing:
As an Apprentice Chemist, you\’ll work in our Technical team to help develop new products, support testing and evaluation processes, and assist with real-world problem-solving for Fosroc’s UK operations.
You’ll be involved in:
- Supporting the development and testing of new construction chemical products
- Providing hands-on technical support to our lab, production, and application teams
- Maintaining equipment, lab standards, and safety procedures
- Assisting with material evaluations, site trials, and product demonstrations
- Learning best practices in formulation, testing, and scientific reporting
What we’re looking for:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is eager to build a career in applied science and materials development. No experience is necessary – we’re looking for enthusiasm, a practical mindset, and a willingness to learn.
You will need he following
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
- A Level Chemistry (Grade C or above), or a relevant BTEC qualification
- A Level in Maths (Grade C or above) – desirable
- Good communication and teamwork skills

You will be working 30 hours per week at our Fosroc site in Tamworth with 1 day per week release for study at our partnering institution-though if you need some flexibility- we’ll happily discuss any need you might have for this role. We can’t promise to meet every request when we’re recruiting. But we do promise to listen.
