MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB: The Senior Sales Assistant within a department store will actively support the Counter Manager with the sales KPI performance of the counter as a junior member of the store management team. In the absence of the Counter Manager, the Senior Sales Assistant will assume full accountability for all areas of the store. As a key Brand Ambassador, ensure Diptyque's positioning as a true luxury brand.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To deliver agreed sales KPIs for the counter, focusing on sales, ATV, UPT, and conversion.
- Assist with the execution of all product launches as per Marketing Plan and VM guidelines.
- Assist with the management of all events inclusive of launch previews, customer events, MDS and Fragrance Fittings.
- Provide excellent customer service and deal with consumer queries and complaints professionally.
- Demonstrate high levels of knowledge about our products and represent the brand effectively.
- Assist with the ongoing coaching and development of team members.
- Maintain knowledge of key competitors and industry trends.
- Communicate effectively about the host store and counter performance.
- Attend Host Store business meetings and relay information as required.
- Ensure back of house areas are maintained to a high standard.
- Work with the Manager to complete paperwork and reporting accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with host store Cash Handling guidelines.
- Maintain full knowledge of till procedures and processes.
- Be aware of security and health and safety issues and requirements.
- Work with the Inventory Manager to ensure sufficient stock levels and conduct regular stock takes.
- Assist with the management of emergency situations in the absence of the Counter Manager.
- Perform general administrative duties.
- Abide by Company and Host Store rules and policy.
The successful candidate will have:
