Established in 1899 by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, the University is situated on 150 scenic acres of rolling hills and wooded landscapes. The qualified candidate will teach gateway and milestone Biology classes, especially Microbiology, Cellular Biology, Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Lecture and Lab. Teaching Pathophysiology and additional upper level Physiology courses is also a possibility. The candidate is also expected to serve on faculty committees, advise students, mentor students on independent research projects, and engage in additional scholarly activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Teach gateway and milestone Biology classes, especially Microbiology, Cellular Biology, and Anatomy and Physiology I and II.
- Deliver lectures and conduct lab sessions.
- Potentially teach Pathophysiology and additional upper level Physiology courses.
- Serve on faculty committees, advise students, mentor independent research projects, and engage in additional scholarly activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum PhD in Biology or equivalent terminal degree, with expertise in human physiology.
- Experience teaching Biology and Physiology at the college level.
