We are looking for a driven, passionate andexperienced Occupational Therapist who is committed to delivering effectivepatient focused care. We are looking for someone who is attentive on thequality and development of clinical outcomes, as well as supporting the overallmanagement and leadership of the Occupational Therapy service within thedivision.
The successful candidate will be able todemonstrate specialist skills which they will have developed over their career.The successful candidate will be expected to support the Lead OccupationalTherapist and Senior OTs in driving the Occupational Therapy strategy forward;contributing to continual quality improvement and service development andinnovation. They will also require the skills to role model and energise theworkforce with a can do approach; understanding that the health and wellbeingof our staff is critical to the care and treatment of those using our service.
As an employee of St Andrews you will adopt an inclusive and can do attitude in approaching your work. You will demonstrate good understanding of OT within secure services, including an application of risk assessment skills. In sharing your experience of applying the OT process, you should also emphasise how you promote our specialism as a profession.
As a highly experiencedregistered occupational therapist, you would be joining a motivated, knowledgeableand innovative OT team. You will contribute to a multi-disciplinaryclinical team; taking responsibility for a clinical caseload, and offering OTspecific assessment and treatment to groups and individuals within yourcare. Alongside your clinicalworkload you will be responsible for a small team and the overall developmentof the occupational therapy service within the division.
Applicantrequirements
Minimum of 12 months experience as an occupationaltherapist.
Evidence of line management responsibilities
Willingness to continue to work to standards ofproficiency identified by HCPC and regulatory bodies.
Deliver clinical treatments to a specialist standard andto enhance engagement outcome measures.
Knowledge of learning disability and / or Autism isessential, experience in these area would be desirable.
Experience working in DBT / Forensic services / secureservices would be desirable.
Experience of sensory integration would be desirable butnot essential.
Evidence of supporting and development within qualityassurance; continuous quality improvement projects, auditing, servicedevelopment.
Continued professionaldevelopment is encouraged, with access to a range of in-house CPD events, aswell as an expectation to support the development and training of OTstudents., Essential
