Sainsburys Bank – Travel Money Manager
Please be aware our Travel Money team have concluded formal consultation following the announcement on the 30th July indicating that the Sainsbury\’s Travel Money business would transfer to Fexco on 31st January 2026. This role will TUPE transfer to Fexco, operating under the company Currency Exchange Corporation(CEC Ltd) on the 1stFebruary 2026. Post transfer colleague rate of pay or salary, frequency of pay and holiday entitlement will remain the same, however there are a number of changes to benefits as colleagues will no longer work for Sainsbury’s including the removal of discount and the share schemes. What you\’ll be doing
As the Travel Money Manager for Sainsbury\’s, you will be responsible for the performance of 3 to 5 Travel Money shops within your designated area. This role requires you to lead by example, engaging with customers, providing expert advice on travel money, and promoting our travel money products to enhance their holiday experience. You will set targets for your team, monitor their performance through observations and regular reviews, and provide constructive feedback and coaching to help them develop their potential. Operationally, you will follow procedures to minimise risk, protect assets, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation. Additionally, you will build professional relationships with Sainsbury\’s colleagues, develop marketing ideas, and provide regular performance updates to the Area Manager. Your strong leadership skills, positive outlook, and passion for delivering excellent customer service will enable you to bring out the best in your team and drive the business forward. You will demonstrate effective communication, organisational efficiency, and attention to detail gained from previous managerial or team‑leading roles, preferably within a foreign exchange, travel agency, or banking environment.
