Our stores are fast‑paced environments where no two days are ever the same. They are at the heart of the local community, providing outstanding value, quality and great service. As a Trading Assistant you’ll be the special ingredient that ensures our stores are set up brilliantly to give our customers everything they come to Sainsbury’s for.
Eligibility
- The minimum application age for this role is 18, due to the working hours and type of goods (alcohol, etc) that you may be required to handle.
- You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.

- Wednesday 21:00 – 07:00
- Thursday 21:00 – 07:00
- Friday 21:00 – 07:00
- Saturday 21:00 – 07:00
What you’ll be doing
- Collecting stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15 kg) to replenish a variety of items across the store, keeping shelves clean, tidy and well‑presented.
- Always ready to serve customers brilliantly when the store is open, supporting with any questions and proactively offering help.
- Checking dates on fresh produce and grocery products.
- Helping across the store as needed and supporting with deliveries.
- Building great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations.
